ramblesAchille - Hail Hail the lucky ones I refer to those at SlaneHi, it's still me, surprising, I know, but I swear, this is me. How'v you guys been? How exactly do you spell "how'v" anywho? Well, today was the day, you'll be dissapointed that I'm still here. The Buy & Sell magazine has temporarily spared my life.... After very little sleep last night (because of constant phone-calls from mean, cruel, cold-hearted frineds bragging about goin to slane and peeing in people's fountains) I got up this morning, and threw far too many darts at the tattered picture of Eminem on my dart-board. The radio was on, and guess what? Every second song was U2!! I decided the best way to waste this incredibly miserable day was to get all my other tedious depressing jobs outta the way, so I went shopping for shit I need for school...only 5 days of freedom left...I wasted my summer here with you guys....well not here...sin-city....well it wasn't all a waste. So, I wandered up to The Square...the place was deserted...even for a Saturday morning....I started thinking everyone had gone to slane.... I wanted to sort out a International Money Order to send to a guy in VA (which state is that by the way?) who is gonna send me a newly released Zep bootleg video, so I can give it to my best-friend for his 18th birthday next week. So, I stopped at my local post-office and they said, "We don't do that here, they do it in the Square," so I said 'fine' and went on up to the Square, asked in there and they said "No, we don't do that, try a bank," so I said 'fine' and went on over to the bank, and they said "No, leave me alone..." and I said 'screw you' and gave him the finger. I think they wouldnt let me do it cos I'm under 18...bastards. so now, I'm gonna have to get actual US dollars and post the cash to this guy quickly before he thinks I'm trying to screw him outta the money. I hate my country... I did all the depressing school shit... I stopped in at Easons (kinda like Barnes & Noble ...but small and Irish), and I got this weeks Buy & Sell, I checked the ticket section and it was FULL of U2 offers!! I got suspicious because a lot of the offers were identical, "U2 Tickets (2) Aug 25 cost £40 sell £80 phone 087--------" they all looked the exact same except a different phone number. So I didn't trust most of them. Later on the news they said hundreds of forged tickets turned up at the gig. There's a few reasonable offers for tickets for the Sept 1st gig...but I still can't afford it...what with the birthday pressie and all.....I hate being young and poor, life's no fun. Ever see that film Memento? that was cool.... Wasted away the rest of the day.... came on here a little while ago. I see this place is no longer the peaceful suburb of BBS Land that it once was, its growing into the Metropolis that became Synergy. You know things are getting too big when i start posting daily ramblings on a board. It'll be deleted if there's any justice...speaking of that: hello amg, how are you? i understand you're our new baby
sitter. what kinda Mod are ya? So, anyway, I was sitting here a while ago, listening to U2 (why did I subject myself to such pain you ask?..you obviously dont know me very well) I was thinking of everybody I know leaving the gig, all my friends, vitolochica, domosblackcircle... they'll all burn in hell for their crimes against Damo.... I had dreamed of being there, among the 80,000-100,000 people enjoying the gig and the first bit of good weather we've seen all summer, but instead I'm here....talking to you losers...j/k...I'm listening to REM "leave" great song oops, I should make this PJ-Related....or, no, sorry, Stone-Related..... erm...I saw a guy who looks like Stone today outside a big hardware store..but I doubt it was him..cos he was threatening some guy and started attacking his car..... Ced, Itold you not to read this!! Hey, Instead of cluttering this board with useless threads.....oh too late. well, anyway, I'll confine my ramblings to one thread for now. So, no news from the "lucky ones", must be hungover from the gig. Today I was awoken by the realization that I shoulda been up an hour ago...doh!! More U2 coverage on the media trough I call TV. Came on here to see what this relatively quiet board would be like at 9am EST on a Sunday.....Tumbleweeds ahoy!! Checked through infamous fan mail...emails not pms...I'm getting to them now, it's ok just wait a few minutes. Got bored, and gave in to incredibly annoying brother (take a bow Spunky) and went with him to the Square to buy a CD-Writer for £100, he thinks its a good deal cos they usually cost £200+ I don't understand these things (I'm not sure if there's a difference between a CD Writer and a CD burner....) so I just said, "yeah sure, knock yourself out....you're paying right?" So, he bought it, and we came home to try and install it.....big mistake. neither of us have ever installed this kinda thing before...so we should learn our lesson. Oh I forgot to complain about the heat!!! Walkin home was just painful!! It said on TV that it was near 32 Celcius...don't ASK me to convert that to Farenhite...its just HOT What's the deal with keyboards, why do'nt they have a degrees symbol? And what do you Americans have instead of the £ sign? Oh yeah, the weather. Painful!! Us Irish can't handle that kinda thing. On the way home I couldn't make it so I lied down in the middle of the road in protest...another stupid idea. Don't motorists have any respect for the tired??? So anyway, as for the installing that CD thingy, let's just say that guys like us aren't meant to attempt stuff like that...that stuff is meant for guys who know what "motherboards" and "IDE controllers" are. I had trouble with the instructions....no, not reading them...I couldn't open them!! It was a tough battle..but I won in the end...does a scissors count as a foreign object? So, eventually (I won't bore you with the full saga) we said "screw it" and put it all back together without the new CD Writer deelie....but we forgot one of the data cables...but its workin fine without it right now, so who cares? I had more rambling but I can't remember it.... Listening to "Frittering..." by Mercury rev, strange but good song I dug out the Seahorses album "Do It Yourself" great album. Hey, futuregirl, guess where I'm goin tomorrow?? HOWTH!! My girlfriend is leaving the country on Tuesday (stop laughing), so she said she wants to go there tomorrow, such a tourist. Inspired by a bizzarre IM convo with Ced, I think I'll expose a heee-ugge fraud!!! Alot of you americans will now be aware of Samantha Mumba, the Irish Britney. She's starring in some new Spielberg movie too. Well, I wanted to let you know that she's not 18 or 19 as they want you to believe, cos she lived just near my grandparents, and I knew her back then, and she should be about 24 by now....the fraudster!!! Freedom remaining: 3 days and counting... There'll be no more of these latenights on SinCity or SinCity Version 2.0 Stone related: I was talkin to a friend of my brothers today and he mentioned that he bought Binaural yesterday...and said it was shit!! I asked him if he liked PJ and he said "Jeremy was good", so I told him to go buy Ten and Vs, then move on to the other stuff. I think you'll all agree that Binaural is not the best album for a beginner? Well, I told him to download a few songs like SOLAT, DTE, GTF just to get him hooked. AND I told him to get Stone's album when it comes out. RAMBLE ON - Robert Plant So...anyway Hi, this is me...still (some germs just can't be killed) So, today. Well yah, I went to Howth (without you futuregirl!!) I was meeting my girlfriend in town and then we were supposed to venture out there on the rickety old cardboard box we call Dublin's public transport system. As I was on my way into town on said public transport I was just goin past Christchurch (I know loads of you have heard of it) and I looked inside the gates and saw the usual crowd of foreigners gawking at the big piece of ruins that they seem to find so interesting..and that reminded me of vitolochica, and I was just thinking that she'd probably go over to see that, just as I was thinking about this and the bus turned onto Dame St. I wasn't paying attention but I was looking out the window, and then as the bus zoomed along (that doesn't happen often) I saw the face of our very own chica walking in the other direction. I was kinda shocked and I thought about getting off to see if it was her, but the next bus stop was ages away and there was alot of traffic. So, I missed her :( Im still wondering whether or not it *was* her, but I'm annoyed I missed her. So the rest of the day was pretty boring, went to Howth, good weather, very warm. Kept shouting stuff about PJ and letting my "Alive" ringtone play for ages when people rang me just so people would hear it....I was hoping someone would say "hey, cool ringtone" and then I could ramble for ages about the 10th anniversary of TEN. Speaking of which....YAY!!! I voted tons of times on MTV to try and get Jeremy on TRL, hope it works. My girlfriend is gone :( I'll be accepting all your love letters in a while. On Channel 4 in England right now they're showing the Top 100 Kids shows, it's great...but it makes me feel old. Does anyone remember Mr. Benn????? or Dangermouse???? or Zippy, Bungle and George??? Kids shows reached their peak in the mid-80's, as far as I'm concerned anyway, I had a hilarious upbringing. Oh yah, The Magic Roundabout!!! I'm just finishing "Remains of the Day"...what a shitty, poorly written, stupid, boring book. Can't believe ANYONE would give that piece of shit a prize!! Yesterday, me and my brother found Oreo cookies in the store, so we bought them for the laugh, cos you Americans seem to always be talkin about them (well on TV anyway)...so I finally tasted them, I wasn't looking forward to it once I saw that they are black!! They didn't look appetizing but my bro said they were good, so Ii tried it....and it tastes worse than it looks!! What's wrong with you freaky Americans??? After this I'm not looking forward to trying your "Twinkies" "Ho-Ho's" etc Hmm, anything else? No? Am I the only one with any ideas here? Yeah, well, there ya go. I'll stop adding to this huge ramble soon... |
