I really enjoyed the interview with Liz Burns & Kevin Shuss...it was really cool to gain inside perspective on the making of the DVD. My favorite parts of the interview include a Stoney story, and the explanation of the Corduroy Sucks sign :)

Liz - I remember the production office in Albuquerue where Stone and Mike put on about a half hour show of cover tunes and dances...just geeking out. We used some footage from that in the SMILE montage. That was fun.

(After describing the bus they used to edit footage between shows...where PJ audio/video was playing 24/7 and there was nowhere to run to...doesn't sound half bad to me, but...)

Liz - I'd fall asleep to PJ and wake up to PJ...

Kevin - ...which I'm sure most of you would think is great and would kill to do...

Liz - I've had every song stuck in my head

Kevin - ...but believe me...

Tim (Bierman - interviewer & Ten Club guru) - So did you guys hear a few versions of RVM?

Kevin - Corduroy?

Liz - Oohhhh

Kevin - After awhile I'm sure there are a few songs that if the crew got to pick the set list would definitely NOT be on there.

Tim - I think there are some fans too...people that go to multiple shows and who are...I hate to use the word disappointed...when they play songs like Corduroy...

Kevin - That's why we put that little flash of the sign in the montage. It's our inside joke...our way of making fun of the whole thing a little.

Tim - The "Corduroy Sucks" sign? (Liz laughs)

Kevin - Yeah...I remember just running across the stage when I saw it and pointed it out to the guitar techs and we were just howling.

Liz - That was funny...

Kevin - I know I've seen posts..."Why would they put that in there?" Cause it's funny.

Liz - The guy showed up with the sign and was in the fan club seats.

Kevin - It's just funny. I personally don't think you have to love every single thing they do.

Tim - Uh...yeah...but we do.

Liz - But we do, and it was fun.

Kevin - It was definitely fun.
